Lucky Juce – ICON

Lucky Juce is an LGBTQIA+ club night that celebrates pop music, self-expression, and community. The project was created with the aim of diversifying the Helsinki scene and bringing together all members of the LGBTQIA+ community while also showcasing queer arts. For the first episode, S01E01 "ICON", Lucky Juce invited attendees to dress in their most extravagant outfits for a night filled with iconic music and visuals, featuring a performance by Swedish artist COBRAH. As a designer, my role in the project was to create illustrations and animations that paid homage to iconic figures who have made significant contributions to pop and queer culture. These animations were incorporated into the marketing materials and projections on the main stage, helping to create a visually stunning and engaging experience for attendees. The event was a success, and the project was recognized with a Silver Peak award in the Joker category at Grafia's Best of the Year 2020, a Finnish creative design competition.
